Intellectual property and counterfeits

Our approach

We respect the intellectual property of brands, designers, artists and authors. Sellers and creators must own or be licensed to use everything they list or upload. We keep records of sellers found to have infringed copyright or trademarks, as the e-commerce rules require.

What counts as infringement

• Trademark: using a brand name or logo you are not allowed to use, or selling fake branded goods.
• Copyright: copying photos, text, artwork, music, books, courses or software without permission.
• Design: copying a registered design.
• Personality rights: using a person's name or likeness to sell without consent.

How to report infringement

Send a notice to legal@dejoiy.com with:

1. The link to each listing or content you are reporting.
2. A description of your trademark, copyright or design, with registration numbers or proof of ownership.
3. Proof that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
4. Your name, address, phone and email.
5. A statement that the information is accurate and that you believe the use is not authorised.

We aim to act on a complete notice within 36 hours and will let you know the outcome.

Counter-notice

If your listing was removed and you believe it was a mistake, reply with proof of your rights, such as invoices from the brand owner or a licence. We review it and may restore the listing. We may share your response with the person who reported it.

Repeat infringers

Accounts with repeated valid infringement reports are suspended or closed, and their payouts linked to infringing listings may be held.

Studio and Nexus creators

Designs uploaded to Studio and books or courses published on Nexus follow the same rules. Uploading logos, characters, photos or text you do not have rights to will lead to removal.
